I’ve just checked the royalty statements for our musicians and see that in our 1st year online well over 60 of our musicians have made money. Are you one of them? Be sure to log into your account from time to time to watch your royalty balance grow. And please remember we pay quarterly on all balances that have reached $50.00 or more.
We’re working hard to make money with the great music you create. One thing we’ve learned in our 1st year is that musicians expect to be notified by email whenever their music sells.
While that makes sense, it’s not something we had built into our original site spec. We’ll be sure to add it later, but for now we’d prefer to focus our energy on selling your music and ask you to periodically check your balance.
I know from experience it’s a tremendous feeling to earn royalties. I’ve heard artists joke that after a big project they feel like they’ve given birth. In the case of production music, that metaphor extends to having those kids grow up and work the family farm while you’re inside an air-conditioned house sipping tea!
